I will sing you no lullabies (Poetry)
I will sing you no lullabies.
I will cry you no rivers.
My deep dark secrets
Live hidden in my soul
Like tiny prickly metal slivers.
The crosses I bear.
The shame upon my lips.
These secrets I will never let slip.
Do not mourn for me
For as I die I am becoming free.
Cry me no rivers.
Sing me no lullabies.
